Dr. Anh Ta, O.D. was born and raised in New Iberia, LA where she attended New Iberia Senior High and graduated in 2009. In December of 2013, Dr. Ta graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Louisiana State University A&M in Baton Rouge. She continued her education and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2018 from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.
During her training, Dr. Ta was able to gain clinical experience at the Eye Center in Memphis. She completed rotations in Primary Eye Care, Pediatrics, Vision Therapy, Low Vision, Cornea & Contact Lens, and Ocular Disease. Dr. Ta was able to complete an externship at the Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. She gained invaluable experience in Specialty Contact Lenses during her time at Walter Reed.
After graduating from Optometry School, Dr. Ta returned to Louisiana and worked in the Optical Center of the University Medical Center of New Orleans for 3 years. She became the first Optometrist in the LCMC Health Network, working with LSU & Tulane Ophthalmologists and its Residents, as needed.
Dr. Ta is currently licensed to practice in the States of Louisiana and Mississippi. She is working to earn her certification in Advanced Procedures to better serve her patients and the community in all their eye care needs. Dr. Ta is our expert in low vision!
